Sneak Peek: Mile High Mountaineering Salute 34
This is one cool pack, and we can’t wait to take it out for a test-drive this Spring.
Mile High Mountaineering is a small, Colorado-based company, focused solely on backpacks and accessories. They understand the importance of backpack fit and design thoughfulness, because they believe quite simply that a good backpack is a necessity in all parts of your life.
The Salute 34 is part of their Hiking category, and is an example of how thoughtful design can maximize the versatility of your pack. The 34-liter Salute has a zipper that wraps around the pack in an S-shape, which allows you to access your gear, no matter where in the pack it happens to be stashed. Goodbye blind digging. The Salute can also be completely unzipped, turning itself into a ground mat, to keep everything from important climbing gear, to your picnic, on a clean surface. Complimenting the zipper innovation are MHM suspension and hipbelt comfort technology, and a plethora of pockets and gear straps. All this at only 3lbs, 8oz.
Stay tuned for AGR’s review of the Salute 34!
