Initial Thoughts On The Avocado Organic Mini Pillow

Avocado Organic Mini Pillow is giving me an opportunity to travel knowing that I can get a good nights sleep. Firstly, I simply like the Avocado name. It is a perfect fit for their bedding and bathing product lines. Secondly, I have sensitive ears. I know, that sounds kind of funny and weird at the same time. I don’t know what it is, but when the pillows are thicker and fluffy, my ears will throb all night long which severely hampers a good night’s sleep. This is the reason why I am always on the hunt for that perfect pillow. Lastly, the environmental goodness that this certified organic pillow brings to the bed and body is sure to please anyone looking for a safe and healthy night sleep.

Subsequently, this is why the Avocado Organic Mini Pillow will be my very welcome companion on the trips I will be taking by car, plane, or foot to cabins, hotels, vrbo’s, and tents.

The Avocado Organic Mini Pillow Layering system

There are several layers that encapsulate the fluffy goodness. First, it’s a basic cover that zips to keep the inner filling nicely contained. Then, you’ll find the soft washable second layer. Initially, I thought that was it, and I was rather content with the soft feel and texture. Low and behold, a few days later I received the Avocado Toddler case (100% organic cotton) which has a nice silky satin feel to it. It is the perfect outer layer, as this fits the Mini pillow just right, and now it really feels like I’m sleeping in a luxurious bed. Also, this is easily washed as this pillow sees more than its fair share of dirt as I schlepp it around in planes, trains, and automobiles (and tents, let’s not forget tents).

My Avocado organic mini pillow also came with extra stuffing. I assume it’s to add for individual preference, or as a fresh re-fill when the time comes.

Uses Of The Avocado Organic Mini Pillow

To state the obvious, you can take this handy little pillow along when you travel. And I fully intend to do so when we go vacationing in Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand this summer. I will certainly add photos of my pillow in use at that time. In the meantime, I take plenty of statewide trips that require some car time where the Avocado Travel Pillow is proving to be a valuable companion.

Camping is a wonderful outdoor experience, and sleep can be challenging. However, this pillow really did provide that extra little bit of comfort for much needed sleep. We don’t slouch around when we camp, and with that heavy action packed schedule sleep can be tricky. After a hike up a 14-er, a night in the Great Sand Dunes National Park was amazing. I slept like a baby.

A cabin in the mountains is also a great way experience the beauty of nature, and a nice chill moment in a hammock is absolutely wonderful. The pillow molds to my neck and head, and does NOT give me that dreaded burning ear sensation.

Washing Instructions (Important)

The cotton cover needs to be washed in only cold water with an eco-friendly detergent. That would make sense to keep the sustainability at a minimum. Afterwards, you do want to lay this flat or hang it do dry. Do NOT throw it in the dryer! And of course, no bleach. Once completely dry, the cover is ready to be put back on the pillow.

In addition, keep in mind that the insert fillings are NOT to be washed.

Final Thoughts On The Avocado Organic Mini Pillow.

This travel pillow is a wonderful compact version to catch some z’s while on the go. The healthy environmental qualities are an important element for the discerning environmentalist in me. In the end, how the pillow actually feels on my sensitive ears while sleeping is where many kudos are delivered. It’s small and tucks away nicely, but the performance is what counts. You never know what you’re going to get from a bed and pillow standpoint when traveling. I personally feel that the pillow is more important than the bed, and now I don’t have to worry.

The Avocado Mini Pillow will be a perfect test case for a potential permanent stay at home Avocado pillow as well. Let the adventures begin. If you are a road warrior, or take a trip once a year, I feel that you should give this Avocado Mini Pillow a try.
