For a new entrant into the waterproof pack space, Code 10 seems to have nailed it. The Code 10 backpack is a fantastic EDC (Everyday Carry) tech bag to get around town and the perfect weekend adventure bag. The shape, profile and details give the category a fresh new take at a price point that won’t break the bank.
There are so many places this bag shines. Day-to-day as an EDC, as the perfect travel companion and as a weekend warrior, be it for a trip to the mountains or meeting up with friends to grab some coffee. So let’s break down how it does that.
Made from 100% waterproof 600D TPU-Coated Nylon Fabric with high-frequency welded seams, the core of the bag is fast and easy to close, and keeps out water and moisture, even in the toughest of conditions.
The backpack is designed to deter against pickpockets and opportunistic thieves. The roll down design makes it impossible for thieves to access the zip when you’re wearing the bag. The unique locking system allows you to secure the main compartment of the bag and lock it to almost any fixed object.
The Code 10 Backpack comes with a lightweight tech sleeve that attaches with velcro securely inside the bag and can be removed when you aren’t taking your tech with you. The sleeve fits laptops up to 15″ and has space for a phone, hard drive, power banks and cables.
If you’re storing the backpack in a luggage compartment or you’re carrying other heavy bags, the smart strap system lets you hide the shoulder straps in the back panel of the bag. Giving you the ability to attach it to a suitcase pull bar or carry it with a duffel like shoulder strap.
There are so many subtle details packed into this bag. The feel of the shoulder straps is spot on with what seems like just the right contour and angle. They’re also strategically tacked into a dedicated seam so you will never have to worry about them fraying or wearing down.
The material choices on the Code 10 are top-notch. Not only does the 100% waterproof TPU coated fabric with watertight welded seams look ready to take a beating, it is! It’s a 600D densely built nylon that’s abrasion-resistant with the help of the inner laminate providing durable weather resistants. The zips are exclusively weatherproof YKK AquaGuard, and for the front outer pocket, the YKK zipper has a rain garage to prevent any water ingress.
The bag itself comes in at 20L but can be expanded up to around 24L if you want to push the scale and use the roll top’s full capability. The Code 10 backpack is equipped with a fully waterproof zippered front pocket and a mesh vented water bottle pocket.
The shoulder strap card pocket is designed to hold your travel cards, ski passes or any other card that you use frequently.
A hidden back pocket keeps your valuables in a secure but easy-to-reach position.
