Cross Breeze Frame Pack
Outdoor Products Cross Breeze Frame Pack Initial Thoughts
The Cross Breeze Frame Pack is a light weight pack with a lot of well designed features. This pack is very versatile and great for day hikes, commuters, and especially students. It’s easy to use with many adjustments. The first thing that catches the eye is the steel frame and mesh divider. This allows air to circulate between the wearer and pack. Something you’ll appreciate on warm days, as well as cold days when wearing multi layers! With the tremendous fall weather here in Colorado, this pack came in quite handy these past few months. I used it for a front range hike, as well as my daily commute pack with lunch and change of clothes for my after work run.

Technical Features
At 1362 cu/in the Cross Breeze frame pack has plenty of space for a day hike, with lots of pockets to hold a hydration bladder and other essentials you’ll have everything you need in a light weight comfortable pack! The Articulated, yoke-style shoulder straps with sliding sternum adjusters allow quick and easy adjustments on the go! With any day pack you want a secure and comfortable feel, and that is exactly what you get! The padded, ergonomically designed waist belt comfortably supports heavy loads, and the curved frame/mesh divider is the perfect companion to enjoy your hike.
There are plenty of well thought out pockets on the interior to pack your smart phone, keys, wallet, and sunglasses. I packed a jacket in the main pocket along with a picnic lunch, and had enough food to last for a 2-3 hour hike along the front range. Plenty of room to spare for my camera, hat and gloves in case of bad weather.
One nice thing I really enjoyed was the large front pocket which held my map and trail book. It was very simple to reach on the go. One final feature is the large pocket inside the main compartment that could hold a hydration bladder, or even a full size laptop for every day use.

Performance and fit
The Cross Breeze Frame Pack fit pretty well for the most part. I had to do some initial adjustments to ensure that it wasn’t rubbing or chafing my shoulders and lower back. Once settled in, the pack performed great with no issues. As for performance, I used this pack a lot for daily use taking my lunch, and change of clothes. The pack got thrown around a bit, but has held up nicely. It’s a perfect companion for the day hike because of it’s size, pockets, and adjustments on the go. I also wore it for a bike ride downtown to a festival. My lock, gear, and jacket all made the trek, and I had an enjoyable ride.

Final Thoughts on the Outdoor Products Cross Breeze Frame Pack.
The Outdoor Products Cross Breeze Frame pack works well with many features from the light weight size to the ease of adjustability. I would certainly recommend this pack to anyone who is looking for a inexpensive durable day pack! The commuter and student could definitely benefit from a pack such as this. The plethora of interior pockets will hold enough food and gadgets to get you thru a whole day of hiking. In addition, with the exterior loop straps you can carry along walking poles, yak trax, or even an ice axe! I certainly enjoyed using this pack on my hike in the Colorado outdoors.
