Assembly is easy with the FirePit+. In the box, you will find the FirePit, grill grate, fuel rack, battery, and a charging cord. Using a screwdriver, you will need to attach the handles to the rest of the fire pit. During assembly, I noticed that one of the holes did not line up perfectly. However, it was an easy fix, and the rest of the assembly went smoothly.

The lower rack is adjustable and is used to hold firewood or charcoal. I decided to try out the included grill grate and made some delicious burgers. I started by moving the lower rack up and started a chimney of charcoal. Once the charcoal was ready to dump, I started grilling. The burgers were cooked to perfection and cooked very fast. I did not use the fan, but I did notice that some of the sparks melted the plastic top of the battery. It would be a good improvement to add some sort of metal shield to keep the sparks from falling on top of the plastic.

Once the coals had died down, I was ready to get things cleaned up. The FirePit+ has an access door at the bottom that can be slid open to empty the coals and debris. I also gave it a quick rinse from a water hose.

Besides cooking food, the FirePit+ is awesome for enjoying a simple fire. Just like any fire, you can build it up by starting with smaller wood pieces and adding larger logs once the fire starts. This is where the fan helps. Blowing through the 51 air jets, oxygen is fed into the key locations to create a more uniform temperature and improve combustion. The fire started incredibly fast and grew quite large in a matter of minutes. I enjoyed the FirePit+ several times over the last few weeks in my backyard while playing corn hole with family and friends.
