With the 32oz water bottle being one of the most popular sizes of water bottles amongst outdoor enthusiasts it is no surprise that the 32oz insulated Hydro Flask is the classic size of the line. The Hydro Flask 32oz insulated bottle has a leg up on the more standard vessels available because of it’s unique design tailored for both hot and cold beverages.
Features of the Hydro Flask 32oz
The 32oz version of the Hydro Flask features a wide mouth opening, double walled vacuum sealed construction, 18/8 stainless steel, BPA free, and a lifetime warranty. The standout feature is the double walled construction which accommodates both hot and cold beverages. With no matter between the two walls, there is less opportunity for hot or cold to transfer between the walls. Hot beverages stay hot for up to 12 hours and cold beverages stay cool for up to 24 hours according to the specs provided by Hydro Flask.
In my testing, I can honestly say that I think the Hydro Flask outperforms both of these, especially for cool beverages. On the hottest days of the summer I could leave my Hydro Flask in the car all weekend and open it up to water that was still cool enough to be refreshing and thirst quenching. With traditional water bottles I couldn’t have left my water for more than a couple of hours without it becoming so hot I could barely stand to drink it.
While I didn’t have the opportunity to test how well the Hydro Flask retained heat in extreme cold temperatures, it definitely kept hot beverages warm for a full day. I could put hot coffee in the Hydro Flask and not touch it until the evening chill set in while camping and it was easily hot enough to warm me up.

Wide Mouth and Interior
The double walled design also keeps the exterior of the bottle at a consistent temperature and condensation free which makes it easy to handle in all situations.
Durability of the Hydro Flask 32oz Bottle
I’ve tossed my Hydro Flask around in my camping kit, back of my car, computer bag and more for a couple months now and it still looks brand new. Even after dropping it a few times in the dirt, on rocks, or even on pavement it still has no visible dents. I may just be lucky, but I’m quite impressed with the durability of the exterior paint and materials. In addition, I’ve washed it several times and haven’t noticed any visible wear to the bottle or even the plastic cap yet.
Overall Impressions
For a year-round bottle that accommodates both hot and cold beverages you can’t beat the Hydro Flask 32oz bottle. The double walled construction makes it extremely versatile, but doesn’t add significant weight or bulk over a traditional water bottle. In only the couple months I have used it, I can see why they come with a lifetime warranty since it has proven to be able to sustain quite a bit of rough treatment. If you’re in the market for a new bottle for hot or cold beverages you’re shouldn’t overlook the Hydro Flask 32oz bottle. It comes in 9 colors.
