Looking for something with flavor while out on the trail or car camping? We’ve recently tested out some of the products from Tasty Bite and were wow’d by the great flavors. One of the issues while camping is that you usually end up taking food that doesn’t have a lot of flavor to it. Tasty Bite foods pack a lot of flavor while keeping it simple to cook. All the meals are pre-cooked and pre-maid, meaning there is not much in terms of preparation on your part. All you need to do is either boil water and put the pouches in the water or you can also just open the pouches and place them into your camp cookware; we prefer to just put them in our cookware. One of the concerns that most of our testers had was that Indian food can often upset peoples stomachs. We found that although the food packed a lot of flavor, it was fairly mild with regards to the spices and did not upset our testers stomachs. As you might imagine, that could be could dangerous while camping or backpacking! The other concern we had was the weight of the food while backpacking. We found it to be pretty heavy for a longer backpacking trip, but if you are going out for a day or two, it’s not too bad. Overall, we enjoyed the Tasty Bites for the flavor and convenience and recommend the brand to our readers. For more info on this and other Tasty Bite products, visit www.amazon.com/tastybite.
Sounds like it beats the old dehydrated camp food by a long shot — I suppose I’ll have to try it out for myself before passing final judgment though, my Ramen noodles have treated me right for many years! 😉
