The BTR Backpacking Stool, which stands for Better Than a Rock, is the ultimate lightweight seat for outdoor adventures. The stool is the perfect accessory for any backpacking, sight seeing, fishing adventure, or for just hanging out with friends around a campfire.
Hillsound Equipment has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the final stages of production for the BTR stool. Those who donate to the campaign will be one of the first to receive the stool once released along with other Hillsound products.
“At Hillsound we strive to provide our customers with groundbreaking and accessible outdoor products and we feel we’ve hit the mark with the BTR stool.” Commented YooRa Kang, Hillsound Marketing Manager, “It’s incredibly lightweight, easy to use and can be easily packed for your next adventure in the Great Outdoors.”
The BTR Backpacking Stool is available in two sizes, 14” and 17”, with the 14” version weighing an incredibly light 12.2 ounces and the 17” version coming in at 13.7 ounces. The seats are made from 100% nylon mesh and can be removed, while the poles are comprised of aluminum alloy. The BTR stool also features PhantomLock™ Technology that secures the legs of the stool when they are dispersed while also allowing the legs to retract when returned to a neutral position without the use of buttons or levers. So I’m curious, I’m looking to get one of these chairs and am wondering what size is used by the folks in the video? Is there a preference to size depending on body habitus. I am 5’9″ and 185 lbs. Needing to figure which would be best from others of similar/different sizes. Thanks for your help.
