If you find yourself scrambling for specific pieces of gear every time you get ready to go camping, the Kelty Binto Hauler 3 is for you.  Binto Hauler is essentially a storage bag measuring 27″ long by 16″ wide by 16″ deep but the magic is in the 3 included organization bins.  The bins are removable and color coded so that you can organize different parts of your camping life into different bins.  This comes in handy if you are like me and have trouble finding something like your camp stove amidst a bunch of climbing gear.
I went through my camping gear that I had always kept unorganized in a big storage bin and separated it out into three categories.  I chose cooking, climbing and electronics.  You can really choose whatever you want to fit your needs.  The bins also have windows at the top of each in order for you to label them in case you are in a hurry and want to just grab one bag.  I find this to be extremely helpful for tracking down gear before a trip.
In addition to being a great home organizational tool, the Binto Hauler makes an excellent car camping gear hauler. Â The bag has a strap for carrying it on your shoulder which makes it easy to bring from a car trunk to a picnic table at your campsite. Â You could load up your food into one bin, your cookware into another, and your dishes into the third. Â Bring this to your campsite and you’ve got your meal making supplies all taken care of.
The Kelty Binto Hauler 3 has numerous great uses and I recommend it to anyone looking for organizational or car camping help.

Not only would this better help with our camping organization, but this seems like a great bag to bring to the park or the pool. I have shlep so much stuff with the kids, a variety of snacks, drinks etc. I can never even find the one drink I do bring for myself!
Before I had kids I could throw what I need in a backpack. Now I have bag for beach, pool, store, overnight and other for when my son think the mud is fun. Notice how I forget about myself now. Wow a Kelty Binto Hauler would help me haul the kids stuff with the simplest of ease and actually remeber to put something in a bag for me.
Looks great for an “emergency kit” in the car trunk. First aid kit in one bag, safety items (blankets, flares, etc) in another and a food/clothing/diaper bag.
I like your use too 😉
Having a toddler I find that every time we pack for vacation, a weekend away, or even a quick trip to Grandma’s house we’re saddled with too much. Too many bags, too many loose things, too much stuff. I never realized that adding one small person to my life could inflate my grocery bill AND the amount of stuff I have to lug so much. It’s more than my wife and I put together.
I think what’s cool is that the three internal pouches could help support the everyday trips. The bigger hauler makes it easy to drop them all in and go! Seriously, I could see this replacing several bags that make me look like I’m hiking for the north pole.
BTW, I don’t know how I can like your facebook page. I don’t have one of my own. I’ll follow you on the Twitter though…
As a Cub Scout leader I can see several uses for this. My initial thought is to have one compartment for first aid kit, medical forms and prescription medicines, another compartment for snacks to take on hikes away from camp, and the third for electronics. They can be kept together for travel and separated as needed at camp.
I will use binto hauler for sorting all of my elementary classroom teaching materials. Since the bag will keep all of the materials organized and portable, I will be able to make use of the outdoor classroom more often.
I can’t promise I won’t also use the bag to go camping with on the weekends and summer break.
I have twin sons who I camp with all the time, so for that reason alone this storage system would be awesome. However, my boyfriend and I just moved in together and he has two young children, one still in diapers. So, trying to organize and corral four kids in the morning for school and daycare is well, organized chaos! Three of the four kids play sports and we’re constantly running to practice and games. There isn’t much time to sit down and eat, so snacks and food are usually packed to eat on the run. These are just a few of the instances that immediately come to mind to where to the organizer would be so helpful and appreciated!
I’d use them for what they’re mean’t to be used for. Storing anything and everything you want to transport in the car to a camping / outdoor trip, Even at home they can be used to store many outdoor miscellaneous items that are normally lost in drawers and nooks and crannies. Perfect for keeping stuff together.
agree with Kelly, what couldn’t a mom use this for?
Especially would like this for our car camping trip from seattle to yellowstone this summer.
I think a very effective use for this bag would be to organize emergency gear in preparation for a natural disaster for my family. Things for water purification and food prep in one container. Things for communications and navigation in another container. And tools and work items such as a prybar, flashlights, and knives/multitools in the third container. The pictures looked like the Binto Hauler had pretty high visibility colors, and that would allow for it to be easily found in a stressful situation.
I love the great outdoors, rather hiking, camping or fishing/hunting but one problem I have is I’m never organized. Everything is thrown in a big plastic tub and I pick threw it whenever I need something. On top of that I have a little 2 year old which can’t go anywhere without extra food (crackers), drinks (juice boxes) and her stuffed animals. I would use the Kelty Binto Hauler 3 variety of ways.
I love that I can put stuff for each of the 2 kids in their own separate bin and then use the third for me or the dog. No more digging through one big bag for everyone’s stuff. What a great design! I can see this living in the car keeping things organized. We have to carry a lot of snacks and books, toys, etc. because we have to take a ferry to leave our island. The individual bags can go in the house for replenishment then back to the big bag in the car. Love it!!
Right now my vehicle is in a constant flux of bike gear and ski gear – and I always have to have water and munchies with me on both types of days. So I would use the Kelty Binto Hauler 3 to organize my bike gear in one, my ski gear in another and food and water stuffs in the 3rd. Hope I win!
It would be awesome to have when you go weekend camping with other people, then each of you could have your own compartment. You would then bring less gear so you would have more room in the car for other stuff, like my dogs that like to camp also. Or if I was camping with my dogs, I could keep their stuff in one section and my stuff in another. Great for organization.
I love packing up the Subi and heading out on roadtrips. Depending on the trip, I’ve always got an assortment of different gear between car camping, backpacking, photo gear, mountain & road bikes, surfboards, snowboard and scuba gear. And after a few days on the road things get pretty disorganized, especially with more people in the car. The Binto Hauler 3 would be awesome to pre-sort different phases of my trips – like keeping all the mid-trip backpacking food separate from the car camping food instead of trying to figure it out at the trailhead and realizing there’s not enough of something. The Binto Hauler 3 would also end those 20 minute searches through a packed car for that last fin, extra tube, or headlamp I swore I put in the back left corner.
This is fantastic! I love the colors. Planning this summer’s anticipated events just got better with a new Kelty Binto Hauler in mind.
**Memorial Day – Picnic for my family of three; Food, Dishware, frisbee/gloves and softball.
**4th of July – Waiting for fireworks; food, drinks, card games.
**Monthly – one night camping trips; toddler’s needs/first aid, utensils/dishware, games/electronics.
**Road trip from UT to Michigan in August – 23 road trip; toddler’s needs, snacks & water, electronics/music/chargers.
Jesse, you just made my life easier.
My wife needs to see this. She’s determined to be the best organizer that’s walked this planet, but it drives me nuts how many plastic grocery bags she brings on every adventure.
I would get more brownie points giving her this as a mother’s day gift than three dozen roses delivered.
I would imagine she would fill the bintos with food, water, and kids activities for our 4Runner. Although, I wouldn’t care if she filled each binto with make up, lotion, and diapers. At least it would get rid of those grocery bags I find floating everywhere.
What a great thing! I would use the Binto Hauler on all the many adventures that my 2 daughters and I take. We could each have our own compartment for the goodies we take on each adventure. I usually pack triple of things we each need, water bottles, chapstick, snacks, lunch, etc. This way I could pack each one separately and the girls could add to their own. Then I could just grab and go- bike rides, camping, hikes, skiing, a road trip or even as my carry on with essentials for each of us in case luggage gets lost. The uses could be endless!
I love this bag. It is large enough to travel with(too large for carry-on) and have “his mine and ours” items separated. Each compartment can also be separately used and taken out without disturbing everything else in the bag. I could certainly use to enroute to the beach with my grandkids and keep everythiing nicely organized. Hey, I could put it in the trunk of my car and my groceries wouldn’t roll around.
My daughter has 18 month old triplets and this bag would be fantastic under many circumstances now and as they grow older. I can see beach towels, snacks, beach toys, dry clothes, etc.! As they get into sports later on I can see how this bag would be great for their gear, each grabbing their own bag out of the large bag! One for me (grandma) and one for mommy!
My husband and I enjoy long car rides, sometimes staying overnight somewhere and this divided bag would be perfect for edibles, clothes, etc. instead of the items rolling around willy-nilly in the back seat.
