Anker is one of the world’s most recognized mobile charging brands. They are known for making some of the best charging products across the board for almost all mobile devices. Everything from fast charging accessories, solar and wireless charging, car charging, smart home plugs and battery generators called PowerHouse. They recently released their series 7 PowerHouse portable battery stations which includes the 767 (2400W) and the 757 (1500W). We will be taking a look at the Anker 757 PowerHouse and an accompanying Anker Solar Panel 625 (100W) to see what they have to offer.
Unboxing the Anker 757 PowerHouse
The Anker 757 PowerHouse and the Anker Solar Panel 625 were both very well packaged and protected with just the right amount of Styrofoam to prevent any damage during shipping. The Anker 625 comes with the Solar Panel, a solar charging cable, a XT-60 To DC7909 connector, welcome guide and an 18-month warranty.
The Anker 757 comes with the Power Station, 3 types of charging cables (AC charging cable, car charging cable, solar charging cable), a welcome guide and a full device 5-year warranty.
Capacity of the Anker 757 PowerHouse
They capacity of the Anker 757 PowerHouse is 1229 Wh (watt hours) and 1500 watts. This refers to the size of the battery in terms of how much electricity it can provide and is measured in watt-hours (Wh). The higher the capacity the better, in terms of longer charging / operating times for plugged in devices. The 757 has an AC surge power up to 2400 watts, which comes into play when powering some devices on. For instance, a ½ HP air compressor generally needs around 2000 watts to get started but only uses a 1000 watts to stay running.
The number of outlets on Anker 757 PowerHouse is 13, which can all be used simultaneously. It is equipped with 6 AC outlets with a combined power of 1500W together, 2 USB-C ports (100 W Max), 4 USB-A ports (12W each) and a car outlet 120 W Max).

In terms of lifespan capacity, the Anker 757 is equipped with LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate, or LFP) batteries. Which at the core offer a much longer lifespan than NMC batteries that are found in some other portable power stations. Anker claims the PowerHouse will be able to provide 3,000 charging cycles until its capacity drops to 80%, which is more than three times the industry average. Which means if the 757 was used once every day of the year it would last just shy of eight and a half years. But under more realistic scenarios this should last well beyond the 10 year mark and likely go for 15 – 20 years if it is properly maintained and cared for.
The Anker 757 is also equipped with an innovative temperature control system that intelligently monitors temperatures up to 100 times per second, this eliminates any possible battery damage due to overheating. The control system keeps the batteries in a safe and healthy state for longer as each battery charge cycle stays within the optimal temperature levels, helping ensure an extended lifespan.
Charging the Anker 757 PowerHouse
The Anker 757 Portable Power Station can be recharged three different ways: AC wall outlet, car charger and by solar panels. The 757 absolutely shines when it comes to charging by a wall outlet. Thanks to the built in tech known as HyperFlash it can go from 0% to 100% in just an hour and a half, which is almost unheard of for this size portable power station. This is done by using a bi-directional inverter that draws power from the standard AC plug at faster speeds. Charging by car will have you waiting for 14 hours to obtain a full charge. Solar charging with an 100W panel nets around 13 1/2 hours in prime sun conditions, add a second panel and it drops to 7 hours, add a third and you can have the 757 fully charged in about 4 1/2 hours.
When testing out the Anker 625 Solar Panel (100W) with the PowerHouse and were happy with the features and the results. The Anker 757 comes with an MPPT solar charger controller that maximizes charging efficiency when connected to solar panels. Which is super useful when you want to start charging the battery first thing in the morning with the first rays of the sun.
The Anker 625 solar panel is able to convert up to 23% of sunlight into solar energy and even pulls in enough energy on cloudy days to charge two small devices simultaneously with it’s built-in USB-C and a USB-A output ports on the back of the panel.
If I was relying on solar charging alone, I would definitely purchase two more panels to max out the solar charging capability of the Anker 757 and bring that charge time down to a more reasonable four and a half hours. But for weekend camping trips and short outdoor adventures one panel helps keep the PowerHouse juiced up.
Durability of the Anker 757 PowerHouse
The Anker 757 Portable Power Station weighs in at a hefty 43.9 lbs. and is built like a tank. It is designed with an automotive-grade aluminum frame that is engineered to take a beating. The power station also utilizes industry-grade electronic components with up to 50,000 hours of life expectancy which can handle continuous use without fail. While I haven’t drop it yet, it has been tossed in and out of vehicles, had gear thrown on it and even been used as a step stool.

Using the Anker 757 PowerHouse
The Anker 757 PowerHouse has the capability to power up almost all of my devices, equipment and tools. With the exception of my welder and 80 gallon air compressor it truly covers the spectrum for portable power. In terms or output options the PowerHouse is generous, allowing us to charge six ebike batteries at one time, which comes in very handy when we take ebikes camping with the entire family. And as I mentioned above the Anker 757 allows you to charge up to 13 devices simultaneously which allows us to also charge up our phones at the same time as the ebike batteries.
The 757 PowerHouse has a Power Saving Mode switch that works beautifully when charging batteries and devices. It prevents any wasted power by automatically turning off the power station once all of the plugged in devices are fully charged. This is perfect for charging devices over night when you are sleeping, it gives you piece of mind that it will only use just the right amount of power and conserve the residual drain that would normally deplete the PowerHouse if it was switched off. This is especially useful when you are off the gird, knowing that every little bit counts particularly on cloudy days when the solar panel can’t get it fully charged.
The Anker 757 can also be used as an UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) by connecting it to a wall outlet with the AC charging cable, powering on the AC output ports and connecting a device or devices to those ports. During a power outage or power interruption the switch over time is under 20ms.
With a 1229Wh capacity the Anker 757 Powerhouse is able to power and charge everything that I would need for camping or an off the grid adventure, then pulls double duty at home as a backup power supply and a portable generator for my weekend remodeling projects.
