For those of you that have to take your dog everywhere you go, but don’t want to destroy your backseat, the Filson Car Seat Saver is an excellent solution. We have 2 Airedale Terriers and have been using this sling for the past 2 months and it has become a life saver for our car and SUV. If you’re like us, not only do your feet get dirty while hiking and venturing into the great outdoors, but you’re dog tends to carry ten times more dirt than your shoes could ever dream of. Not only can this dirt get into your seats and never come out, it can also add plenty of unwanted hours of vacuuming to your life.
The Filson Car Seat Saver is made of 100% dry finish tin cotton that attaches to your front and back seat headrests with 4 adjustable buckle straps. The Seat Saver takes on a sling shape between your front and back seat; the curvature of the sling keeps your dogs cozy and safe, even when you are in stop and go traffic. Our pups used the swooping fabric as a place to support their body, including their heads, during some post hiking nap time. We also used the Seat Saver in our SUV when the seats were folded down; by attaching the straps to the front seat headrest and anchoring the fabric in the rear with gear placed on top, we were able to use the Seat Saver to protect the back of our vehicle. We liked that the Seat Saver is not overly bulky and can be easily moved from vehicle to vehicle. Also, due to its size, it conveniently fits in a standard washing machine. However, after 2-months of use, the Filson Car Seat Saver still look new and has only needed occasional shaking to get rid of loose dirt and debris. Overall, we found the Filson Car Seat Saver to be a great buy for both you and your dog. For more information on the Car Seat Saver and other Filson products, please visit www.filson.com.
