Ruffwear Top Rope and Hoopie Collar Review

Andrea loves anything to do with the outdoors. Just being outside puts a big smile on her face. Hiking is Andrea's favorite way of exploring beautiful and rugged terrain. She is always up for any hiking adventure rain, snow, or shine! Besides being an avid hiker, Andrea also has a love for both trail and road running. Andrea has completed a handful of half marathons and has it on her list to run a full marathon very soon. During the winter months you'll find Andrea hitting the slopes in CO & MT. All other times you'll find her road biking, camping, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or hitting up all the Ft. Collins Breweries. Andrea's four legged friend Bentley is just as eager to be in the mountains, he is always accompanying her on all of her outdoor adventures.

Just to inform that I had some troubleshooting with the Ruffwear Top Rope Collar. My dog Hinto and I had the experience that the collar sometimes opens by itself. I already had it a few times and it gave me the feeling of insecurity. The most of my dog-products are from Ruffwear and I love the brand but this time I really want to inform potential buyers about this matter. I suspect when there is some fine sand in the closing-buckle (I live at the seaside) it doesn’t close that good anymore, so attention must be very advised. It is not visible, you should check by manual inspection. Also, if the dog scratches itself or the dog has a lot of skin and goes in a position that it squeezes the buckle, it will open for sure. Today my girlfriend had that experience on a busy street. Not so cool… I still love Ruffwear-products but my opinion about the Top Rope Collar is that the collar is not that secure…
