Horny Toad Pixie Pant Review

The Pixies by Horny Toad have been a go to pant for days at my other job, the one where I can’t wear athletic clothing all day. The Pixies are a stand out pant because of they are extremely comfortable and have a great tailored fit. The pants sit at the hips and are straight through the hips-thighs-and leg. Brushed metal buttons are featured at the zippered front closure, back pockets, and at the two smaller front pockets. I am a bit of a hands in the pockets kind of gal and typically keep the front pockets open which does not sacrifice style thanks to horizontal stitch detailing within the pocket itself.

The Pixies are different than your run of the mill twill pants because they are made from Vespa, which is a lightweight fabric composed of organic cotton 77%, polyester 21%, and spandex 2%. The Vespa fabric allows the Pixies to move with your body, feel soft to the touch, gives a bit of texture to the pants, and eliminates the classic khaki pant creases/wrinkles that normal cotton pants are known for. The Pixies do stretch a bit as the day goes on, but the pants retain their shape and style.

One problem with the Pixies is that they are only available in one color in the fall collection. That one color, shark, is a dark grey/charcoal and featured above. Light colored lint and dog fur does tend to cling a bit to these pants and shows up a bit more due to the dark color, definitely not a deal break. Rather, it simply makes me wish that I could have a pair in brown, khaki, and navy blue as well.
