If you find your wardrobe to be lacking in the casual shirt department this summer, you have plenty of sweet options to get your outdoorsy look on. Merrell came out with a line of outdoorsy casual apparel a few years back, but it seems this year they have really stepped up there game by making gear that looks and fits great. Over the past month, I’ve been sporting the Merrell Woodruff Polo which is a 100% cotton polo that’s comfortable and has a great fit.
Instead of coming out with the typical cotton polo, Merrell decided to give the Woodruff a little outdoor flare which I am a big fan of. While the shirt doesn’t scream granola, it provides a little styling that says I’m not wearing the cotton polo that every company makes, but I’m styling with a shirt that’s a little more unique. The features of this shirt that stick out include a nylon like material that is used on the collar of the shirt and down the button down section of the shirt. While this material doesn’t have any tech properties to it that I know of, it gives the look of outdoorsy and techy which I like.
The shirts’ material weight is pretty light, so it’s good for warmer temperatures. Living in Colorado, I haven’t tested the shirt in a lot of hot and humid days, but temps in the 80-90’s, it seems to sit on the skin nicely without getting you too sweaty. The Merrell Woodruff comes in a number of different color options, I tested the Deep Sea blue and red accents and I really like it the combo. It goes well with a pair of jeans, khakis, etc. For more information on the Woodruff Polo and other Merrell products, please visit www.merrell.com or www.amazon.com/merrell.
