Whether you’re looking for a pair of pants you can wear to the office (casual dress code) or a pair of pants you can wear around the campfire, the Mountain Khakis Teton Twill Pants are a great option. I’ve been testing these pants out for quite a while now and they are one of our favorite pair of pants I own. They are a great multitasker as they can substitute for your khakis you wear to the office, but are durable enough to withstand your active and rugged outdoor lifestyle. Now I must admit, I tend to wear these pants primarly for general day use because I like the active/rugged, yet dressed up look they give me. It sounds odd, but it’s true.
Now you may ask yourself, how does a pair of Mountain Khakis differ from your Jcrew khakis in your closet? For starters, the Teton Twill pants have a little thicker fabric than most other khakis I have worn. This helps keep your pants from getting tears and wearing out fast if you are doing things other than sitting up and sitting down in your chair at the office. The crotch of the pants is gusseted, so instead of having the inseam form a V between the two legs, the crotch of the pants has a diamond shaped fabric giving you a better range of motion. To keep the pants from ripping at the seams, the Teton Twill pants are triple stitched, which helps with the longevity of the pants. The other feature that we liked was the reinforced cuffs on the pants, which Mountain Khakis calls a “mud flap”.
