prAna Cali Dress in Azalea Guava
Performance fabric use doesn’t have to be limited to athletic apparel. prAna knows this and incorporates Veeda performance knit, a 45% recycled polyester/ 45% spun polyester/ 10% Spandex combination into the Cali Dress and many of their other products. The Veeda fabric is soft to the touch, responsive, light, and drys quickly. Utilizing these features in a dress allows the wearer to ride, hike, and head to a local happy hour in comfort and style. Living in a mountain town, I typically do all three of those activities quite regularly. 
Cali Dress Fit & Design
The Cali Dress features an empire waist and a full or loose fitting body. The top is feminine and flattering where it needs to be. Having the body of the dress being loose means that it is easy to keep cool when the weather is hot. The length of the Cali Dress is also ideal; with a 36″ length it lands just above my knees. The drop hemline (aka longer in the back than the front) is a feature that I didn’t notice for a few weeks, but it comes in handy when you ride a bike around town. Rear racerback design easily hides a running tank top tan lines
prAna has included an interior shelf bra that is supportive and keeps you cool in the heat. The shelf bra is double layered in the front with the first layer next to your skin being a light weight mesh in the warmest, sweat producing areas: under the arms and in the middle of the chest. If you are an A/B cup, there will be no need to add a bra. If you wear C or higher, you might want to add a bra. Fortunately, the racer back design allows you to add a racerback styled bra without showing any extra straps. In the photo above, I have a less traditional bra on, hence the straps.
