Much like our positive experiences with other Free Fly products in the past like the Lightweight Shore Hoody and the 2023 Spring Collection we’ve developed a strong affinity for the Bamboo Flex Hoodies. These hoodies stand out notably from other Free Fly sun shirts and hoodies we’ve tested, primarily due to their substantial luxe material. In comparison, this material boasts an impressive 270 gsm (grams per square meter), whereas other Free Fly hoodie designs typically use a lighter 145 gsm fabric. The weight of the Bamboo Flex Hoodie’s material is something we’ve come to appreciate, particularly on colder days.

One memorable outing had us hiking through the ski area to revel in the stunning fall foliage. Upon reaching the summit, we encountered biting winds and temperatures nearly 20 degrees cooler than at the base. Despite the chill in the air, slipping into the Flex Hoodie was an immediate comfort, allowing us to fully enjoy the breathtaking scenery. As for myself, while I might occasionally utilize the thumb holes on cold hikes, I find the minimalist design of the men’s hoodie perfectly suited to my preferences.
