MK’s Cottonwood Cords are a comfortable and fashionable option for casual winter wear. The Cottonwood Cords are stretchy and really move with you thanks to a lycra and cotton blend. We wore these pants on frigid morning walks with the dog, around town while doing errands, shoveling snow, and on a short hike. No matter the activity, we felt these pants were comfortable and warmer than jeans or other hiking pants. These pants come in regular and tall lengths, which we loved, because our prime tester is a tall gal and needed the extra length to keep her ankles covered. The Cottonwoods have a relaxed fit through the hips and thighs and have MK’s calls a contemporary rise. We felt that the rise was a bit too high on our tester; hitting at the belly button and not 2 finger breadths below as MK’s website states. The rise took some getting used to but the soft feel and comfort of these pants won us over. The Cottonwoods come in 4 wintery colors, Berry and Slate Blue were our favorites.
