Icebreaker GT Run Review
Coming out with its new premium running apparel line, Icebreaker introduces the new GT Run line. I’ve been testing out the long sleeve and short sleeve Ace Crewe on all types of runs from knarly trail runs to long distance marathon training runs. Unlike the majority of standard tech tees, the Icebreaker GT Run line is made of Merino Wool versus a synthetic fiber. The merino wool used in many of Icebreakers products including the GT run line is excellent when it comes to regulating your temperature.
For those of you running at night, the GT Ace Crewe has reflective tubing that helps cars and other moving objects see you in low light. And if you like using an iPod to listen to your music while running, there is a media pocket on the lower backside of the shirt. The fabric used in the the GT Run Crewe is comprised of 97% Merino Wool and 3% Lycra for stretch and recovery.
For sizing, the pictures in the photos online make the GT Run line look skin-tight, but I found the Ace Crewe shirts to have a slimming fit, but not skin-tight. I found the GT Ace Crewe to be soft, comfortable, and excellent at regulating my body temperature while running. The price tag is a little spendy as a long sleeve shirt is $80, but if quality and comfort is more important than price, it’s worth taking a look at the Ace Crewe by Icebreaker.
