Merrell Torreon LS Review
My wife said it was soft and made her want to cuddle. ‘Nuff said.
The Torreon Long Sleeve shirt is a new piece from Merrell with raglan sleeves, yarn-dyed stripes, and a super luxurious fabric thats right at home on the trail, out for cocktails, or at home on a snow day.
The Opti-Wick™ fabric in the Torreon includes 10% spandex for generous stretch and comfort; in addition, Opti-Wick™ transfers moisture away from your skin and dries quickly, making it ideal for active outings or travel. You’ll want this one next to your skin if you’re layering, and Merrell made sure the side seams are flatlock-stitched and wrapped to make sure there is no chaffing. I love the great looks of the heathered colors and superior comfort of the Torreon, and was excited to learn that Merrell has short-sleeve crew and polo variations completing the Torreon line.
I tested the Merrell Torreon long-sleeve mostly in leisure situations but found that it performed well as a base or solo layer for more active use like hiking and urban cycling as well. The wicking properties are impressive and the super soft, stretchy material was comfortable in all situations. This Merrell top does have a fairly generous cut, so you may want to size down for a good first- or only-layer fit.
I recommend that you put on the Torreon LS this weekend for that planned day hike, or just to get your cuddle on.
