The Mountain Hardwear Wildlands short is a great short when it comes to all your outdoor activities. One of the unique features of these shorts is a DWR finish that helps repel water and other liquids, to keep you from getting wet and keeping your shorts clean. A few other features we found handy in these shorts was the zippers on the waist and the soft chamois waistline. The zippers on the waistline allow you to let out some slack if you need a little extra room in the waist, although we didn’t need that when testing these shorts. We actually found the shorts to be a little baggy in the waist as the tester for these shorts normally wears a 32-33 waist and the mediums fit a little big. The soft chamois around the waist keeps down on chafage and also helps keep you dry for the long day hikes. There are plenty of pockets in these short to stash all your small gear and food and even comes with a key ring to make sure you don’t lose your keys on the trail. Overall, we found these shorts to be super comfortable, stylish, and durable for all your backcountry needs.
