If hiking pants are your thing, the prAna Stretch Zion pants are for you. If you’re not into hiking pants, the Stretch Zion pants are for you! Now you must be asking yourself, they can’t be for both, can they? We know there are a lot of people out there that just don’t like the way hiking pants fit, feel, and look; and we understand your concern. We at ActiveGearReview.com are split 50/50 when wearing hiking pants in public. The consensus on these pants is that they work for all as they are super functional in the outdoors and they have a good look for around town. We really like these pants when hiking up in the mountains for the weather comes and goes and the temperature can fluctuate 60 degrees in 2 hours. For this, the pants have a button system that allows you to roll up your pants and they will actually stay. For when you are working up a sweat, the pants are made of a quick drying nylon that will keep you cool and dry. We recently tested the prAna Stretch Zion on one of Colorado’s 14’ers and were able to roll up the pants near the base when it was warm and unroll at the top. We ran into rain, hail, snow, high winds, and these pants performed awesome! They dried out really fast when they got wet, blocked the wind and snow at the summit, and stretched when we needed them to when climbing. We tested the mediums and found the Stretch Zion to little long and I am 6’0 tall. The tester wears a 32-33 waist and found the pants to fit fairly loose, so we suggest trying them on if you are between sizes. We’ve been a fan of prAna clothing for a while now as they make a great product of the outdoors and these pants hold up to prAna’s reputation of being a great performer for outdoors people.
