Polarmax AYG Bikini Brief and Boy Short Review
I am pretty picky when it comes to undies. They are my first line of defense and have the ability to make me very uncomfortable, very quickly. The Polarmax AYG XTRDRY cotton bikini brief and boy shorts won my approval in this test.
The Polarmax AYG (All Year Gear) XTRDRY Cotton bikini brief and boy shorts feel like cotton, because they are cotton, but they perform nothing like those cotton tee-shirts you get for free at races.
The AYG underwear is made from Polarmax’s signature soft touch fabrics including XTRDRY™ moisture wicking cotton. The XTRDRY material is soft and breathable like cotton, but with the added benefits of fast wicking and drying performance. These undies also feature Acclimate® Fresh anti-odor/anti-microbial protection for enhanced comfort and hygiene.
I absolutely loved both the bikini and the boy short version of these underwear. They both ran true to size, sit low on the hips rather than around the waist and have flat seams which keep them from pinching, rubbing, or chaffing. Since the leg openings don’t have elastic I was concerned that they wouldn’t stay in place, but I had no trouble with either pair riding up, shifting, or bunching. They stayed in right where I wanted them even during activity.
I have worn both pairs for a variety of activities including hiking, skiing, biking around town, and casual wear. They performed well on all occasions. No soggy-bottom during post-ride or hike beers thanks to the XTRDRY material. Also, no residual stink thanks to the Acclimate® fresh protection. They washed well and are getting softer with each wash even though they started plenty soft.
Bottom line, the Polarmax AYG cotton bikini brief and boy shorts will stay put and keep you dry and comfortable when you’re on the go.
The boy short comes in black, white, teal and coral. The bikini brief is available in black, white, periwinkle, and coral.
