Keen Zip Low Cut Hyperlite Cushioning Socks Review
These Keen Zip Hyperlite Cushioning Socks are some of the most comfortable, well-fitting socks I have ever put on. Who would have thought that a left and right sock would make such a big difference? It seems so simple, we wear left and right shoes, so why not socks?
The fit on these socks was absolutely perfect. No weird bunching at the end of my little toe, no gaps, or wrinkles. They fit snug and followed the contours of my feet. The material, 50% merino wool, 43% nylon, 5% polyester, 2% spandex was very comfortable and breathable. The merino wool was very soft, no itching at all, and allowed the socks to dry quickly preventing blisters, chafing, or excess stink.
There were virtually no seams which added to the comfort and functionality of the socks. The upper section had a breathable panel allowing even more airflow than the material itself. In addition, the Zip sock had a bit of cushioning in key areas – heels, forefoot, toes – and tighter sections around the arch to provide support.
I tested the low cut version of the Zip socks and they came a bit higher on my ankle than I would have expected from low cut socks. They covered my ankle bones, but they were still perfect for wearing with running shoes, low hikers, or cycling shoes.
For something seemingly so small, socks can make all the difference when it matters most and these socks will get you to the finish pain free and blister free. They come in a variety of colors, sizes, and heights.
