Vim & Vigr Compression Socks Review

Vim & Vigr Compression Socks.
For the uninitiated, let’s make something clear at the outset: There’s a compelling health case for compression socks.
Not only do they enhance everyday circulatory function, they help ward off problems such as deep vein thrombosis, spider veins and varicose veins. They also relieve pain associated with circulatory problems that already exist. For athletes, the upshot of improved circulatory function is reduced achiness and improved recovery.
So, yeah, I’m a fan of compression sock technology.
The problem with compression socks, though, is the selection is often limited to uninspired fabrics and designs. That’s where Vim & Vigr put its nicely stocking-ed foot down. Vim & Vigr compression socks offer a bevy of health benefits and they come in an array of styles, colors and materials.

Vim & Vigr Compression Socks provide compression and catchy styling.
Vim & Vigr compression socks are a great option for those seeking circulatory help in style.

Vim & Vigr Compression Socks are available in a range of colors, styles and fabrics.
Vim & Vigr Compression Socks Function
Compression socks work by putting constrictive pressure on the lower legs. This added pressure forces blood to flow through narrower channels. The result is improved blood return to the heart and less blood pooling in the lower extremities.
Ideally, compression socks provide graduated compression. The tightest fit should be at the ankle, and pressure should be reduced approaching the knee.
Vim & Vigr compression socks provide that graduated pressure, using the company’s proprietary Gradient Pressure knitting technology.

Compression is greatest at the ankle and gradually declines as the socks approach the knee.
The amount of pressure in compression socks is measured in “millimeters of mercury” (mmHg). These compression socks I tried provide graduated compression ranging from 15 mmHg to 20 mmHg.
The pressure rating for Vim & Vigr compression socks places them squarely within the ideal pressure range for enhanced circulatory function. Additionally, the socks can be worn all day. There is not a risk of “compression overdose” with these socks.
For added peace of mind, it’s notable that all of Vim & Vigr’s products are FDA listed.

The flexible toe area and fitted heel provide all-day comfort.
The socks are also comfortable enough to be worn without restriction. Aside from the compression technology, they provide a flexible toe area that does not hinder normal locomotion and toe splay. The heel area is fitted and stays put even during a long day on the move.
Vim & Vigr Compression Socks Design & Materials
Available in wool, cotton, nylon and moisture-wick nylon blends.
The two pairs of socks I wore (and wore and wore) are made of the cotton blend and the nylon blend.
The ladybug polka dot pattern comes in the cotton-based material, comprised of: 50% cotton, 20% nylon, 18% rubber and 12% Spandex. This blend is effective at maintaining shape and compression without limiting comfort or breathability, reflecting the 200 needle-count stitching. The feel is soft and relatively thick. The socks are warm and cozy on cool days.

I found the ladybug pattern to work best with outfits where only a little bit of sock would be visible.
The “Fun Stripe” navy and cobalt sock comes in the nylon-based blend: 88% nylon and 12% Spandex. The nylon blend features a 400 needle-count and “multi-dimensional weave.” These socks feel relatively sporty and I found them to be able footwear for athletics.

The multi-dimensional weave of the nylon blend offers great breathability.
As with any good pair of socks, the feel of both pairs of Vim & Vigr compression socks faded into the background as I wore them. From a feel perspective, they were never noticeable.
From a style perspective, noticeability could not have been greater.
Although I was skeptical about the red and black ladybug pattern at first, the socks became a favorite with pants because just enough of the pattern would show through to add some visual interest to my outfit. I’d be hesitant to wear the socks with shorts, admittedly, but that just speaks to my more reserved nature. If you want to be loud and proud, you can definitely find a pair to match your personality.
The navy and cobalt Fun Stripe socks I found downright cute and went out of my way to pair with outfits where more than just a flash of ankle would be seen.
With Vim & Vigr compression socks, there’s no shortage of interesting patterns and colors.
Vim & Vigr Compression Socks Other Comments
I like the backstory of Vim & Vigr. Fed up with limited options for compression socks to help with her medical needs, the founder set out to develop more stylish options. The result was a great line of products that offer all the benefits of compression socks without forgiving style and comfort.
