POC Air Shorts Review
First of all I like pink. And these POC Air shorts are all pink. But don’t let that scare you. They also come in black and green. I first saw these this spring at my local bike shop and thought, “Must have those shorts!” It’s not every day that you see long pink corduroy shorts in a bike shop.
These POC Air shorts are great because you can wear them on the trail or around town. They do not come with a liner/chamois so you’ll have to add yours if you wear them for a ride. I also think they are designed to be the shorts that you wear when you are hucking yourself down the mountainside on your park bike. They would look really nice with a full face helmet and protection gear. Bottom line: They are versatile and when I wear them out and about I get a lot of compliments.
The shorts are made of a durable corduroy material. They are long. The inseam is a smidge over 11 inches. They have two super deep (you could fit a trail map, a snack and a bike pump in there) pockets in the front and two nicely placed pockets in the back. They are a bit high waisted so if you are like me and have a short torso that might annoy you but for me, these shorts are too cute to be annoying. The POC Air shorts are a bit heavy so I think they are going to be the perfect riding short for the fall and for summer trips to the ski resort bike parks.
POC is a Swedish company and their style and functionality shine through. These Air shorts are meant to be unisex and come in sizes 28-38. They fit well and are designed to make you look good. I may be fooling myself but I think they make me look taller. Check them out for yourself.
