As I unwrapped each part, I could tell that Velotric had put a lot of thought into the design and construction of the e-bike.

The assembly process of the Velotric Go 1 E-Bike was quick and hassle-free. The included instructions were easy to follow, and all the necessary tools were provided. Within a matter of about 15 minutes, I had the e-bike fully assembled and ready to ride. On the left side of the handlebar sits a throttle lever and the control buttons. The throttle allows you to power the motor with just a thumb push of the lever. The control buttons allow you to power on/off the e-bike, adjust the pedal assist levels, turn the lights on and off, and navigate through all of the different modes and features in the LCD menus. The controls are intuitive and easy to use, with a user-friendly interface that allows for seamless navigation through different modes and settings.

In addition the suspension features a lockout feature which allows you to conserve energy while pedaling on smooth roads.

It’s Compact – The Good and Not So Good

However, the compact size also means that this e-bike may not be suitable for taller riders, such as myself, standing at 6 feet tall the Go 1 does feel slightly cramped and on the smaller side than I would prefer as my daily driver. In which case, as a taller rider who wants a more appropriate sized cargo bike, I would opt for Velotric’s Packer 1 as my first choice.
