Looking for the relaxation of a sandal with the support and protection of a shoe, the Chaco Paradox might just be your answer. We’ve tested this shoe in water crossings, 1-15 mile hikes, and walking about the town. The polyester webbing and cinch strap wrap your foot to give you a secure fit which is nice while walking on slick rock, steep uphill and downhill hikes, and more. The tread on the bottom is a Chaco made sole that is 25% recycled and has held up very well while we took the Chaco Paradox through many rigorous adventures. We did have hesitation of the collar and tongue as we thought it would rub our foot raw when we wore them barefoot, but much to our surprise, our feet were blister free. The Paradox has somewhat of an unorthodox look, but we took a liking to them very quickly and received a lot of compliments on the look.
