If you love everything Patagonia stands for such as standing up for the planet, you often can’t get enough of the brand and buy into pretty much everything they do. This season, Patagonia has come out with a lifestyle/performance shoe called the Patagonia Activist Shoe that helps you portray the image of loving the brand and showing that you live that laid back lifestyle.
Patagonia Activist Shoe for Lifestyle and Mild Activities
The Patagonia Activist Shoe has mostly a lifestyle focus, but also is great if you want a lightweight shoe that you can take along on a camping or climbing trip. The shoe can be worn with or without socks as the inside liner is extremely comfortable and molds to the sole of your foot, similar to a flip flop. It also provides a mild traction in the event you want to do some light hiking. While this can pass for mild hiking, if you are logging a lot of miles, I recommend leaning towards a shoe with more substance that provides protection and structure.
The Patagonia Activist is made from ripstop nylon that resist snags and tears, similar to what you would see on a tent, backpack, or sleeping bag outer. To provide a little weather protection, the shoe is seem sealed so water will have a tough time at getting into the shoe.
For the Gents and the Ladies
The Patagonia Activist Shoe comes in 3 colors, blue, grey, willow herb green for men to accommodate your personal color preference. The shoe is also available is in a male and female version, so ladies don’t fret, they have you covered as well. This shoe can be found at your local outdoor retailer as well as online and retails for $85.
