We had the joy of testing out the Patagonia Boaris and heads sure did turn. Sometimes we get samples to test and as we step out in public, people say wow, that’s ugly! I then say, but it performs well… This time around, I walked out the door and received all kinds of comments from people saying “that’s a cool looking shoe”, and I reply, and it’s functional too! The Boaris gets an A+ with style and a A for function. One thing we were scared about was the fabric used on the shoes and if it would hold up ok after we took it out a few times on the trail. Since the shoe was nicer looking, we didn’t want to get it too dirty. On a technical side, the shoes upper comes with breathable upper which keeps the piggies from overheating on the hot days. It’s leather is pretty durable and abrasion resistant. Outside of the leather, the shoe is made of recycled material, which keeps with Patagonia’s environmental focus. Overall, we found this shoe to be a great mix if you’re looking for a shoe that performs well on the trails and keeps you looking cool with your friends.
