Love this shoe! It goes with just about any outfit and can be worn in many different settings. To top it off the Petaluma MJ is super comfortable which is the most important feature that I look for in a shoe. I surely can’t say that about too many of the shoes in my closet, but the Petaluma delivers!

Performance of the Chaco Petaluma MJ

First of all, I can’t believe it has taken me this long to own a pair Chacos. What a spectacular shoe! I put them on and wear them all day long without any issues. With socks, hose or even bare feet it makes no difference. Hands down most comfortable shoe I own. As advertised the LUVSEAT materials in the midsole cradle every bone and muscle in my feet. It’s almost like they were foot forming, and it felt like I was wearing my comfy slippers.

Honestly, I want all the colors of this shoe! I have and love the coffee bean which comes in a dark brown oiled suede upper with plum trim and interior. The webbing straps are dark brown with a speckled orange and gray design. These webbing straps are the staple Chaco feature that complements and accents the shoes.

The is a very versatile shoe. I wear my Chaco Petaluma MJ with jeans to run errands with my kids, go shopping, social gatherings with friends, or date nights with my husband. I can also dress them up by wearing a skirt or dress with hose, and voila, I’m ready for the office. These shoes have become my go-to for any occasion. Ok, one exception. With a few snowy days, I was unable to wear them in the frigid wet conditions. I live in Denver, Colorado so even when it snows overnight the snow usually melts by afternoon. I can get in my car in the garage and drive to work all the while still being able to wear my Chaco Petaluma MJ’s.

The EcoTread™ light rubber outsole provides great traction while walking or if you’re like me, speed walking around the hospital and office. The height on the outsole is just right! It seems to give me a boost but not as drastically as heels would.

Final Thoughts

I absolutely love my Chaco Petaluma MJ shoes. They are super comfortable and very versatile. I wear them for all sorts of occasions ranging from casual street walking, running the kids to and from activities, going out to dinners and I even wear them to dress up my work outfits. I have the coffee bean brown which are a great complement to my wardrobe. So much so that I think if I got all the colors it would be like a whole wardrobe overhaul, all accomplished with the simple addition of a shoe. Easy enough and money very well spent. These shoes are the best!
