The Women’s Acorn Earth Roamer Boot is a nice crossover shoe that is as comfortable as a slipper, but offers added arch support and weather protection you expect from a casual shoe or boot. The Earth Roamer upper is made from a mix of wool and recycled polyester, which are treated to become water-repellant. The Earth Roamer has suede detailing along the side and rear, as well as elastic side panels that make the shoe incredibly easy to slip on and off. The outsole has sticky rubber to enhance traction, while the soft removable foot-bed supplies a small amount of arch support. After a few weeks of wear, we found the upper started pilling and lost its clean appearance. We felt that the boot provides some support and cushioning, but should be reserved for casual wear and not used for long treks around town. The Earth Roamer kept our feet cozy on chilly days and provided water-resistance when worn walking in the snow. Overall, a nice boot that is easy to slip on when you are on the go.
