The Encore Groove Pro by Merrell takes a professional shoe to a whole different level. Are you tired of fatigued & achy feet? Are you on your feet for hours whether it be at work or for play? If this sounds like you, you might want to consider Merrell’s Encore Groove Pro.
I first heard of Merrell’s professional series shoes on the Dr. Oz show. I have many Merrell hiking shoes, however, never thought about Merrells in the work place. I’m on my feet for 12 hours at work either standing, walking, and even sometimes running. I do not have a lot of sitting time therefore my feet are always tired and achy at the end of my day. The Merrell Encore Groove Pro offers great support and is so lightweight that I feel like I’m wearing slippers during the day. The Encore Groove Pro is so convenient and easy to slip on and go.
The upper is made of high quality full grain leather that is soft, flexible, & waterproof. The leather moves with you and does not limit your foots mobility. The leather is so pliable that after a few months of wear you will notice a few bend marks and lines across the upper. The waterproof feature of the Encore Groove Pro is a major perk for medical professionals. You never know what you can get splattered with. The full grain leather cleans easily and does not leave water spots. After a few months of wear I have noticed some discoloration and scratching to the toe box. The top of the Encore Groove Pro starts with a rolled, foam-lined collar. The collar was a little stiff at first and took a few wears to fully break in for complete comfort.
The Encore Groove Pro is lined with Merrells Dri-Lex Shubuck lining and treated with Aegis antimicrobial solution. The Aegis microbe shield helps fight foot odor caused by bacteria and fungus. Whenever you wear shoes for 12 hours your feet tend to protrude a lovely odor. My Encore Groove Pros have kept my foot odor to a minimum! Leaving me more confident to slip my shoes off for a minute if I do get the chance to rest. The Dri-Lex Shubuck lining offers continuous breathability. The Encore Groove Pro is extremely lightweight and the low-profile design truly does feel like I might be walking on air. At first I was a little skeptical about the support the Encore Groove Pro offered because of its lightness. My feet are no longer tired at the end of long days of running around. The Encore Groove Pro provides superior support even for high arches. Support that even the biggest skeptics can’t ignore.
Merrell has patented QForm in a variety of their shoes. QForm is a women’s specific body angle inspired cushioning. Because of a women’s body shape we tend to strike and roll differently than men. The QForm sequenced cushioning helps a women transition her weight for a more neutral walk. I am a pronator. I have been concentrating while I walk to see if the QForm is making a difference in my stride and comfort. I can feel the cushion reduce some pressure points and appreciate the stability as I walk. I love the fact that Merrell is striving to make a shoe that is tailored specifically to a women’s body mechanics.
The rubber sole of the Encore Groove Pro is slip & marking resistant. The Encore Groove Pro offers great traction on uneven surfaces. You will not be sliding around on the floor with these shoes. No worry for scuffing your floors either!
The Encore Groove Pro fits true to size. It has a little wider toe box so your toes are free to wiggle around. The Encore Groove Pro comes in 2 colors: Mahogany Brown & Black. The style and color options are offered for both Women & Men.
If your looking for a shoe that will provide you with all day comfort and relief from achy feet, look no further. Merrell’s Encore Grove Pro should be your first choice for step in comfort!
