The Hi Tec V Lite Hatha Quick-Zip 2001, what a mouth full, is a waterproof and windproof casual boot with many of the same qualities of an all weather hiking boot. The barrier to the elements is provided by Ion-mask waterproof technology along the nubuck and suede upper. The Hatha’s keep your foot toasty thanks to 200 grams of Thinsulate insulation. Despite all the bomber weather protection, the Hatha is also quite stylish with a side zipper for easier on/off, and a feminine cut with nice stitching accents and two buttons on the lateral side for an added accent. Testers reported that the Hatha feels light on your feet while providing a mild amount of arch support. Testers did report that it was difficult to slip the shoe on and off quickly and that the cushioning in the shoe is not substantial enough for long bouts on your feet. However, we applaud Hi Tec’s use of Eco-cork in the footbed which is a renewable resource. Overall, the V Lite Hatha Quick Zip 2001 is a nice all-weather boot that runs true to size, while only running in half sizes.
