We tested out the Columbia Sportswear Toddler Powderbug boots on our 20-month old daughter after a recent snow storm dumped about eight inches of snow. We took her to a nearby park to pull her around in her new sled and hop around in the snow. The depth of the snow made it difficult for her to get around much, but she had plenty of fun trying. Despite a rather cold day in the low 20s, she had a grin from ear to ear the entire time. When we got home, we were pleased to find her feet warm and dry. I still have bad childhood memories of crummy boots and bread bags over my socks to keep my feet dry. But with the newer gear technology like Columbia’s, we thankfully won’t have to worry about that with our daughter.
We tested the girls version, but these boots are available for boys as well. For girls, it is available in a pink/purple color combination, and for the boys, it is available in a black/green combo. For both boys and girls, the boots are offered in sizes 4 to 7. The Powderbug boots offer an nice option from a quality brand that is also cute and affordable, retailing for $40. It looks like there is more snow in the forecast, so hopefully we will have a chance to spend some more time in these boots soon!
