Eddie Bauer First Ascent Toddler Cloud Layer® 1/4-Zip Fleece Review
The Eddie Bauer Toddler First Ascent Cloud Layer® 1/4-Zip Fleece has been a great go-to layer for our 20-month old daughter. It is perfect on its own on a nice fall day, and serves as a great middle layer over a regular shirt and under a light to medium weight jacket. The fleece thickness is on the lighter side, but as a 1/4 zip, it performs more like a sweater than a jacket, which is exactly why we like it. Getting a toddler in and out of a car seat can be tough when they are wearing a bulky jacket, so we keep this handy so we can take off our daughter’s heavier jackets, but still keep her cozy and warm in a chilly car.
The First Ascent Cloud Layer is made of quick-drying, anti-pilling polyester fleece. It has a zipper end cover to help protect from scratches and scrapes under little chins. We tested the girls version, but it is available for boys as well. For girls, it is available in a range of colors, including Lily Pad, Deep Pink, Pebble Blue, and Black. For the boys, it is available in Black, Cardinal, Marigold, Dark Basil, and Marina. For both boys and girls, the First Ascent Cloud Layer is offered in sizes ranging from 12 months to 3T. At a retail of $20, this is a great piece to pick up for your toddler. Enjoy!
