A recent snowstorm gave a us the perfect chance to to test out the Eddie Bauer Toddler Classic Down Jacket on our 20-month old daughter. Since we just moved to Colorado this past Spring, this was actually our daughter’s first time playing in the snow. After watching her run from window to window all morning pointing to snow covered bushes and saying “baaaaa,” we finally got her all bundled up and took her to a nearby park to play and try out her new sled. Despite a rather cold day in the low 20s, she she appeared to stay nice and warm, and was nothing but smiles the entire time we were out playing. We can’t wait to get out in the snow again soon!

Eddie Bauer is a pioneer in down technology, and this jacket exemplifies their expertise. Warmth in non-bulky form. The 550 fill premium European goose down kept our daughter nice and warm, and the water-repellent shell kept her dry as we kicked up the powder while sledding. The one thing we wish this jacket had was a hood, but a light scarf and a warm hat should be adequate for most situations. The collar interior is very soft and the front zip has a flap to cover it. The size pockets are zipped as well, so tissues and other necessities stay inside.

We tested the girls version, but it is also available for boys as well. For girls, it is available in a range of colors, including Carnation (Pink), Lipstick Red, and Royal Plum. For the boys, it is available in Deep Olive, Midnight Navy, and Redwood. For both boys and girls, the Classic Down Jacket is offered in sizes ranging from 12 months to 3T.
