In addition to their trademark socks and various performance gear for adults, our friends over at Smartwool also offer a variety of gear for kids. With corporate headquarters based in family-friendly Steamboat Springs, Colorado, it only makes sense that the engineers and designers at Smartwool would want to outfit their entire families in the products for which they have invested so much heart and soul. And with their custom blends of super comfy Merino wool, we couldn’t ask for a better line of products to keep our kids warm and happy.
Although we have had remarkably mild weather here in Colorado over the past few months, a recent storm brought cool temperatures and some snow; we took the opportunity to try out the Smartwool Daisy Hat on our two year old daughter, Alexa Daisy, who loves to play in the snow. While some kids don’t like hats on their head, our daughter usually leaves them on, and she seemed comfortable and happy with the fit and feel of the Smartwool Daisy Hat…and it fit her sassy, fun personality perfectly.
Part of the Smartwool Kids For Kids Gallery program, the Daisy Hat is made with a double face jacquard knit using Smartwool’s trademark Merino wool. It has an interior headband liner for added comfort, and it sports a multi-color braided tassel to add a little flair. It comes in two colors: Peony (purple and orange) and Blueprint (blue and yellow), and it is available in two sizes: Small/Medium and Large/Extra Large. The S/M fit our two year old just fine, and I expect will continue to fit for the next few years. The Daisy Hat is sure to be a hit with your child, and you can be sure that your child’s head and ears will stay warm on any excursions, whether it’s an afternoon of sledding in the mountains, or just a trip to the grocery store.
