The Adistar Ride 2 is one of the most cushioned shoes we tested for Fall and is now competing with the big boys and girls in the cushion category. Weighing in at 13.0 ounces for a size 8, the Adistar Ride 2 is not all that light, especially when compared to other high-end cushion running shoes on the market. Just like people though, some shoes can hide their weight well, and the Ride 2 is no exception to hiding its weight. We took this shoe out on plenty of long and short runs and the only time we really noticed the weight was when we were reading general shoe stats on paper. The ride of the shoe is very smooth as testers commented on how nice the shoe fit. When testing the shoes out of the box, our testers felt like the shoe had been broken in for a few months. The Ride 2 also comes with Adidas Formotion™, which divides the heel area of the midsole, allowing the shoe to better adjust to uneven streets and sidewalks. Some testers complained that rocks would get stuck in the groove, but not enough to make it a deal breaker. We have found Adidas running shoes to run a little narrow in the past and for the people who have narrow feet, no need to worry, the Ride 2 is a tad narrow too.
