New Balance’s newest premium neutral shoes, the 1064’s, have found the perfect blend of cushioning and flexibility. During our long runs, the shoe’s full length cushioning left our feet feeling fresh without a lot of extra weight. At the same time, the 1064’s, responded well to every stride by evenly distributing impact regardless of pace.
When we first laced up, we noticed shoes was the overall extreme comfort. The different density foams used in the collar provided noticeable support while still maintaining a high level of comfort. The company’s “N-ergy” heel cushioning handled occasional heel striking without doling out any pain. The liner and laces created a custom-like feel, giving us complete control with each step. We think this is a great shoe for runners with an efficient stride looking for enough cushioning to provide comfort throughout even the longest of runs. The shoe is also available in different widths (from narrow to extra wide) to find the perfect fit for your feet.
