Entering the market with a different approach to running shoes and the way we run, Newton has recently introduced the Sir Isaac Guidance Trainer for those looking for a lightweight trainer and trying to stay on top of running technology. While the Sir Isaac won’t promise a gold medal at the next Olympics, these shoes will have you adjusting your running stride to what Newton feels to be a more efficient stride, one that reverts back to the way humans originally ran. As this running style must be slowly transitioned into, our testers followed Newton’s Adjustment process and found these shoes to offer a smooth, cushiony ride, while not comprising stability. The Sir Isaac Guidance Trainer comes with the second generation Action/Reaction Technology in the forefoot and heel adding a little extra spring to your step. While only weighing 10.9 ounces, the shoe provides a durable carbon rubber with traction tread. With its low profile, snug upper, and abundance tech features, the Newton Sir Isaac Guidance Trainer was a favorite with our testers. The Newton Sir Isaac Guidance Trainer retails for $149 and can be found in specialty running stores in April 2010. Agreed! this is a great shoe, if not for everyday then at least to provide your feet and legs a rest from the traditional heel strike pounding.
