Camelbak Arc Quick Grip Review
As spring and summer temps begin to heat up, hydration becomes more and more important. As a runner, I typically carry a little less water or nutrition mix with me when running in colder temps, but when running in the heat, it’s extremely important for me to have some water on me. The Camelbak Arc Quick Grip is a 10 oz. water bottle combined with a handheld fabric platform that conforms to the palm of your hand.
Camelbak Arc Quick Grip bottle Size
Running with a regular water bottle works for many runners, but for me I feel it gets pretty heavy and throws off my stride a little as it takes more energy to move my arms. On the other side, you have the smaller bottles that you can put water or gel in but they are often 5-8 oz. which doesn’t always give you enough. Now this all depends on a number of factors such as how hot it is, how far you are running, how much you sweat, and what you personally need for nutrition. Having the bottle size that comes with the Camelbak Arc Quick Grip is perfect for me and I bet this is a great sized water bottle for a lot of runners out there. The typical distance I can get out of a bottle like this is typically 6-13 miles and obviously works for anything lower.
Handheld fit and function
The actual handheld portion of the Arc Quick Grip holds enough to store 2 gels, 1 gel and one car key, or other items of similar size. For closer, it uses Velcro which has been good for me to this date. Depending on your hand size, there is a pull tab that you can use to tighten or loosen how the fabric fits on your hand. I personally love how it fits on my hand and I also like how the bottle is shaped to fit in my palm. I have a larger hand, so those with very small hands might see this a little different, but it’s still more comfortable than a regular water bottle holder.
Bottle Compatibility with other Camelbak products
The bottle used in the Camelbak Arc Quick Grip is compatible with the other hip belt Camelbak products. This is nice as you don’t have to have a number of different bottles floating around your house. And in case you lose one of the bottles, you can use the bottle that came with the Arc Quick Grip.
Overall Opinion of the Camelbak Arc Quick Grip
My overall opinion of the Arc Quick Grip is that it rocks! Plain and simple, it’s a great size and it fits perfect in your hands. For more information, please visit Camelbak.com
