Asics Thermopolis LT Crew Review
If you find yourself running in cooler temperatures, having a solid long sleeve that you can depend on can is critical for many runners. I’ve recently been testing out the Asics Thermopolis LT Crew shirt over the past few months in cool to mild temperatures in Colorado. To be upfront and honest about this shirt, it has been my go to shirt for temperatures ranging from 30-50 degrees Fahrenheit, hands down.
Fit and Feel
The Asics Thermopolis LT Crew has regular fit meaning it’s not too snug and flows well while running. The fabric has a buttery feel to it on both the inside and outside of the shirt making it extremely comfortable next to skin. The seems used in the Thermopolis are smaller than the average shirt which helps the shirt sit nicely on your arms and body. I’ve tested out other winter shirts where the shirt looks great from the outside, but the inside is extremely uncomfortable. Not in this case. Not to toot my horn, but this is where it comes in handy to read these types of reviews as even the simplest review of a long sleeve shirt can reveal whether a shirt is good or bad.
Performance
The Asics Thermopolis LT Crew is a great performer for its intended purpose. As this is a thermal style of shirt, it is supposed to have insulating properties that keep you warm in cooler temperatures. I’ve tested this shirt out by itself, with a shirt over the top of it, and with a running jacket over the shirt in cool temps. In all situations, I thought the shirt did an amazing job as it was super comfortable and it kept me warm but not too warm.
Other uses
I have not only run in this shirt, but I have also hiked and skied using this shirt as a base layer and it has done an amazing job. I can also see this shirt doing well in other activities such as mountain biking, climbing, and the sky is the limit.
Overall
Overall, I have been extremely satisfied with this shirt and give it my stamp of approval. For more information, please visit https://www.asics.com/
