Brooks Rogue Runner III Short Review
For the guy that is looking for a little more coverage than racing split shorts, the Brooks Rogue Runner III is a good option. The Rogue Runner III comes with a 7″ inseam, which provides plenty of leg coverage for almost any runner. The shorts have a little more of a relaxed fit, so they would work well with someone who is on the bigger side if used for running.
The material used in the Brooks Rogue Runner III has good stretch and is lightweight. One of the downsides I found to this fabric is that when you sweat in it, the material stays wet for a longer period than regular nylon shorts. The other downside to the fabric is that when you sweat, it is very noticable. I tested out dark green shorts, and the it even showed on this color. This isn’t a big deal when running, but if you are going to get breakfast after or hanging out with a group of people and your crotch or backside is a different color, it can be a little awkward for some people.
For storage, there are two open pockets on each side of the Brooks Rogue III. This is good for if you want to store less valuable items. For valuable storage, there is a hidden zippered pocket on the inside of the right-side pocket that can fit a key or credit card. There is also a key pocket on the the left thigh near the elastic waste. With the days getting shorter, night time is getting closer with every day. The Rogue Runner III has 360 degree reflectivity which helps cars see you if you are road running.
The Brooks Rogue Runner III Shorts get a great rating for a 7″ inseam short with exception to the fabric wetting out.
