The Saucony LX Opentech Sportstop is a new fall/winter 09 piece for Saucony that is good for active endeavors between 10-50 degrees F. The shirt is fairly lightweight, yet keeps you warm in colder climates. Although Saucony is a running brand, we also tested the LX Opentech Sportstop during cold weather hiking and camping as we think it is important to have clothing that you can multitask with. While running, the shirt had a good fit; it was not too loose or not too tight. We tested out a size medium shirt and our tester is approximately 6’0 tall and 175lbs to give you an idea of how you would size one for yourself. The Saucony LX Opentech Sportstop is sure to be seen while night running, thanks to a small blinking LED light that fits into a reflective holster. We tested this shirt out for 3 months and the light did not come out, but over time we think the holster could come loose from taking the light in and out during washing the shirt. This shirt also includes 5 reflective areas to keep you visible when light is shined on you as an added safety feature. For those of you that like to run with cell phone, iPod, energy gel, etc., there is a zipper pocket on the left shoulder where you can stash your goodies and it also has a whole on the inside of the pocket for earphones. If you still don’t think this shirt has enough features, it is also has a 50+ UPF rating to keep harmful UV rays out. The Saucony Opentech Sportstop retails for $60 which we feel is a good deal and can be found at your local running store.
