The Brooks HVAC Long Sleeve Seamless is an essential piece to add to your fall and winter running wardrobe. Brooks utilized HVAC technology for this top, which responds to changes in your body temperature and provides complete thermoregulation. The HVAC LS also utilizes a seamless design to prevent chaffing and X-static silver fibers throughout the garment to fight off smells and help keep you warm. We tested the HVAC by itself on runs with temps in the low 40’s and with a vest or coat when the temps dipped below the 30’s and found that testers stayed warm and dry, despite the lightweight feel of the top. The HVAC comes with raglan sleeves with some added length, which allowed testers to have complete range of motion and extra fabric to keep their hands warm without wearing gloves. Testers enjoyed the contoured-fit, horizontal stripes that are unique and fun. The HVAC LS is a tad pricier than other long sleeve tops by Brooks, however, we found the HVAC technology to be well worth the price. Our only concern about the use of silver fibers and other emerging technology is with how long these benefits will last. In the meantime, we will be turning to our HVAC LS time and again as the weather gets colder.
