ISIS Endura Run Vest Review
The Endura Run Vest by ISIS adds a bit of protection from the elements, but most importantly it keeps you visible while out on a run in the pre-dawn or after sunset hours. Many running vests help keep you visible, but are very unattractive in terms of colors and styling when worn during daytime hours. The Endura Run Vest is available in two fun and attractive colors, a bright white and Mediterranean or turquoise. The vest features silver contrast trim that has some reflectivity, but the large ISIS logo on the front and back are sure to help you be seen, as well as the reflective piping along the vent in the back and along the shoulders in the front. The fabric of the Endura Run Vest is water and wind resistant, adding a bit of protection and therefore, warmth to your core. The vest is extremely lightweight and feels like a second layer of skin.
The vest carries a simple design with elastic at the arm openings and along the bottom at the hem. The vest also features two zippered pockets at the hip and a small internal mesh pocket to keep your iPod shuffle protected from the elements. The pockets are not large and do not add a lot of bulk to the slim fit of the vest. The Endura Run Vest is available in sizes XS to XL. The other jackets that I own by ISIS feature their numeric sizing system, mostly size 4’s. I ordered a size small based on the size guide and found the vest on the short side. It features a body length of 24 inches and hits well above my hip. I am on the taller side and should have noted this dimension prior to ordering. If you are like me, order up a size. The body was, however, true to size with a feminine cut that still allows for under-layers, including a light jacket and/or long sleeves.
The Endura Run Vest retails for $79. If you are seeking a bit more protection with the same visibility as the vest, then you may also walk to look into the Endura Run Jacket, also by ISIS, which retails for $99.
