Lucy’s Run Like the Wind Tight is a light weight tight designed to keep you covered from the elements in a bit of style so that you can “run like the wind!” These tights are not nearly as heavy as most of my other running tights, which often have a fleece backing or are comprised of a thicker polyester. Please keep this in mind, as these will not keep you warm when the temperatures are below freezing. Just because they are not like my “typical” tights does not mean that I didn’t love the Run Like The Wind Tights.
What sets these apart from the competition are the little accents (such as miniature ruffles on each thigh) and Lucy’s attention to detail. These tights include not one, but two zippered pockets to stash a car key and/or gym pass into. One pocket is angled over to the right thigh, while the other sits just below the waist band in the rear. Each pocket has an alternate colored lining; for instance the Dark Stone (or gray) tights feature a patterned white lining. In addition, the Run Like The Wind Tights have incorporated mesh paneling behind the knee for added breathability and complete range of motion. Over the inner shin/ankle area, the fabric is a lighter ribbed composition, to continue the trend of breathability. As for visibility, these tights have got you covered as there is a reflective logo is in the rear and two large reflective panels featured over each hip and lower leg.
The Run Like The Wind tights feature a wide waistband and low rise with a inner draw-string for a more customized fit. I found these tights to run a tad big in the waist area and thighs and wished I had ordered a size smaller because I had to really torque on the drawstring. There are many flat-locked seams throughout these tights and I feel that these don’t impact the fit or comfort, and I barely noticed them. They do, however, break up the tights and flatter your figure as well. These tights are great for those in between days, when shorts or your “typical” tights aren’t quite right!
