We used the men’s and women’s version of the Salomon Trail ¾ Tight on the trail, pavement and on the track. The slim fit was great, proving to be both comfortable and adding support just where you needed it on your legs especially when on pavement or on the track.
The comfort tie waistband allows for a perfect fit even on those days you may feel bloated. The stretch fabric and flat seemed fabric moved with us and kept us chafe free while making the turns on the track or while jumping over downed trees on other obstacles on the trail. The flat seems also helped keep a hydration belt in place while also preventing rubbing.
The ¾ length of these tights makes them great for cooler, windy days or early morning runs. We were surprised how wind resistant they were, testing them on one of the many windy spring days in Colorado. They are also highly water resistant and breath well with the mesh at the back of the knee even during humid Midwest spring storms. Versatility wise, these tights should be kept within arms reach year round especially with the Climavu 50+ fabric and pack ability.
A zipper back pocket is a great place to store your house or car keys. We noticed that keys stayed in place and didn’t jingle or bounce around. The zipper is easy to open and close with one hand while in motion or at standstill. The reflective logos on both the front and back of the tights make you visible 360 degrees to cars and other dangers out there.
So if you are looking for a great versatile run tight good for both the road and trail check out the Salomon Trail ¾ Tight. The tights come in black, black with red stitching or black with blue stitching for women and black for men. For more info on the Trail ¾ Tight and other Salomon apparel, visit www.salomon.com.
