Saucony Run Lux Short Sleeve Shirt Review
Breathable, wicking short sleeve shirts are a standard in most everyone’s workout attire and the Run Lux Short Sleeve by Saucony is another one to consider adding into your line-up. The Run Lux Short Sleeve is a basic workout top with just the right features added.
The Run Lux Short Sleeve is a lightweight crew neck top that is very breathable yet protective from the sun with its 30+ UPF protection which is a big bonus in the bright sun of Colorado. The accent-color stripes on either side of the body not only add a flattering aesthetic, but also additional breathability.
The material felt high quality and wicked moisture quickly during indoor and outdoor workouts, but never became clingy, which I have found other tops to do during steamy indoor workouts.
Like many other pieces of athletic wear on the market, the Run Lux Short Sleeve has a built in stow pocket. The stow pocket is convenient and roomy, but I wouldn’t recommend carrying much more than a key or a bit of fuel because the looser fit of the top allows it to bounce around quite a bit.
While the looser fit isn’t necessarily ideal for the stow pocket, I found it very comfortable. The cut is looser fitting without being boxy or baggy. The top hit right along the hips and didn’t ride up at all. The raglan-style sleeves allowed for easy movement and kept seams out of areas that could easily chafe.
The Run Lux Short Sleeve comes in a variety of color combinations, including hi-viz options, for both men and women.
Overall, the Run Lux Short Sleeve is a step above the standard athletic tee, but without excessive features. It is perfect for the gym, running, cross-training, hiking, and just about any other activity.
